The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
